What I Learned About Travel by Playing Tennis in Over 50 Countries of the World

16 april 2026 19:00 - 21:00

While most people travel for general joy, exploration, and positive emotions, some take it a step further by following a specific passion.
For Orest, that passion is tennis.
As one of the most popular global sports, tennis surprisingly opens doors to new places, cultures, and human connections — making it a powerful way to experience the world.

Orest has played tennis in over 50 countries (and counting) — from handmade courts in African slums, restricted locations in Taliban-run Afghanistan or damaged pavements war-torn Syria, to world-class settings in Manhattan, exclusive private clubs in England, and ultra-modern high-tech tennis facilities in China.

This journey is full of extraordinary contrasts, powerful stories, and unforgettable experiences — all of which will be shared during the talk.

Orest Zub is a Ukrainian digital nomad and online entrepreneur who has visited almost 150 countries.

A trained lawyer by education, Orest initially pursued a career in human rights, aiming to participate in humanitarian missions around the world. Over time, he found another way to explore the world while contributing to global good.

Since 2011, Orest has founded several successful online ventures, traveled internationally for 5–6 months each year, and maintained a base in his hometown of Lviv, Western Ukraine.

After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in early 2022, Orest joined the national resistance effort by reporting from frontline areas, assisting humanitarian organizations, and cooperating with international media.

In early 2023, he joined NomadMania as a managing partner and now focuses on developing the platform globally.
