We should talk about Panama…” \nGeorg Walter Wink Ph.D.\, dr. phil. habil. Associate Professor\, KUA. \nSince Trump’s vowing to “take back” the Canal\, the country on the Isthmus which otherwise seems rather peripheral has moved into the spotlight. Indeed\, the Canal has an obvious geopolitical and also symbolic function which helps to read the current US foreign policy.
