A workshop where we’ll be focusing on learning how to move our hips. Hip movement is a mayor part of Bachata and yet in can be very deficult to know how to do it if you didn’t grow up with the knowledge. This workshop is for Men aswell as Women or however you identify. The hips are for everyone.\nMerengue:\nFrom popular demand I’m happy to present our 100% merengue workshop. The popular social dance has simple steps and turn patternes which gives the possibility of solely focusing on the partner connection and body movement. Safe to say\, we\, at Bachata Dominicana Copenhagen\, absolutely LOVE this Bachata ancestor!\nBachata Traditional:\nThe workshops as you know them best. A mix of solo and partner work. They’ve since made sure to keep their knowledge and inspiration fresh by frequently participating in Dominican Festivals around Europe as well as participating in Instructor courses and visiting the Island. \nABOUT Mette:\nMette started teaching dancing back in 2006\, but in 2020 she met Dominican Bachata in the land of origin and has since then spent a total of 6 months in the DR getting immersed in the dance communities. Her focus is on personal style\, connection and non-verbal conversation as well as the cultural background of the dance. Teaching style is inclusive and welcoming.
